Micro controller availability in hardware supply chains can be fickle. We keep our products pin-compatible and firmware-compatible with several leading micro controller (MCU) families to allow switching of MCUs depending on lead times, pricing and feature requirements.

In order to make it easy to switch to a new MCU, we've created the Raindrop family of modules with standardised pin-outs. Raindrop modules allow for:

1. Rapid prototyping

2. Seamless interchange of micro-controllers when coupled with an RTOS such as Zephyr for applications

3. Price efficiencies due to increased volumes
